Hweiching Lim brings a strong legal academic foundation to her regulatory advisory work at LegalBison. She holds an LLB from the University of Kent, where she completed a year abroad at Renmin University of China (ranked among the top five law universities in China), and an LLM from Nottingham Trent University, where her research examined the impact of Alternative Business Structures on the legal profession.

Prior to joining LegalBison, she worked as a Legal Assistant at a UK law firm, developing practical exposure to legal process and documentation. She then moved into client-facing roles in the hospitality sector, including a position at a Forbes Five-Star property, before taking on a Key Account Manager and trainer role focused on APAC markets, such as Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Hong Kong. 

Hweiching Lim’s advisory work covers the intersection of crypto and digital asset licensing, international corporate structuring, and cross-border regulatory strategy. Her primary focus is jurisdiction selection and VASP framework analysis, with documented depth across Georgia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panama.

Her client engagements cover centralized exchanges, custodial wallet providers, token issuers, fiat on/off-ramp services, crypto OTC desks, and brokerage platforms, giving her direct experience with the specific licensing triggers and structural requirements across different jurisdictions. 

FinTech licensing and trading structures are also within her advisory scope. A notable engagement within her portfolio involved advising on jurisdiction selection and regulatory strategy for a high-profile project issuing tokenized bonds tied to a landmark Indonesian property, requiring cross-border corporate structuring analysis and fluency in digital asset frameworks for real-world asset tokenization.
