Kirill Gussev

Kirill Gussev holds ACAMS CAFCA and CAMS certifications and brings five years of client-facing regulatory advisory experience to LegalBison. Before joining the firm, he worked at a regulatory and corporate services company. 

His most substantive hands-on background came from serving as both an AML officer and a company director at a crypto entity registered in Estonia, where he engaged directly with Estonia’s Financial Intelligence Unit during the regulatory approval process.

That direct regulator engagement gives him a practitioner’s understanding of what licensing processes require in practice, which now directs the guidance he provides to clients navigating VASP and CASP authorization. He speaks Russian, English, and Estonian.

At LegalBison, Kirill Gussev serves as a primary advisory contact for companies building or expanding regulated digital asset businesses. His work covers client intake advisory, direct meetings, and matching each business model to the appropriate regulatory structure within LegalBison’s product and jurisdiction scope. He works directly with centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, and token issuance platforms seeking structured, compliant market entry.

Kirill Gussev has contributed regulatory commentary to LegalBison’s published content, covering the Polish VASP framework, MiCA and CASP authorization in Estonia, and the regulatory landscape for crypto gaming platforms. He holds ACAMS CAFCA and CAMS certifications and was an active ACAMS member for three years.
