CEX (Centralized Exchange)

CEX (Centralized Exchange) is a type of crypto trading platform opposed to DEX. CEX are intermediaries in a trading process, facilitating the transfer of funds between two parties. Unlike DEXs, CEXs hold custody over clients’ funds, be it fiat or crypto, once they are deposited, and keep them in central accounts.
