UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner)

The Ultimate Beneficial Owner of a legal entity or structure is the individual who, ultimately, controls the structure and makes the strategic decisions.

Through the usage of nominees, a director or shareholder of a legal entity may not be the actual beneficial owner of a legal entity.

It is important to note that, unlike director or shareholder, “beneficial owner” is not an administrative or official status, but a factual status.
