Instead, Virtual Asset Service Providers conducting business through a Costa Rican entity must complete a structured compliance process: form a legal entity with specific crypto-asset clauses, enroll on the SUGEF Article 15-bis AML supervision platform, and file the annual Transparency and Final Beneficiaries Registry (RTBF) with the Central Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cryptocurrency is legal in Costa Rica for private commercial contracts.
