ICO (Initial Coin Offering)

An Initial Coin Offering, or ICO, is the event of emitting and selling a new cryptocurrency.

The term ICO can also be used for the issuance and sale of tokens, despite the existence of consecrated terminology: ITO (Initial Token Offering).

ICOs are a way for crypto projects to raise funds and grow a community.
