ITO (Initial Token Offering)

An ITO (Initial Token Offering) is a variant to an ICO. It is the sale of a token. The goal can be to raise funds, spread awareness around the project or kick start its operation.

In the case of an ITO, it is explicitly understood that the crypto-asset sold is a token on a blockchain.
