EMI (Electronic Money Institution)

EMI (Electronic Money Institution) is a legal entity that issues electronic money and provides payment services like electronic bank transfers. Electronic money means a digital equivalent of cash owned by the client. EMIs are different from banks in that they cannot lend money to individuals. EMIs are also different from PSPs, which do not issue electronic money.
